how did i get here?

I grew up in central New Jersey, slightly more than an hour's drive from New York City. At Communications High School, I got to flesh out my writing, speaking and artistic skills in a wide variety of communications-oriented classes.

By my senior year, I gained a new appreciation for the environment and natural resources and was admitted into UMass Amherst as a Sustainable Food and Farming student. My interests temporarily shifted towards plant and soil science, then shifted again to landscape architecture. I originally joined the Sustainable Community Development program to facilitate a transition into a landscape architecture Masters degree at UMass, but found myself wanting to learn more about city planning and community development.

While maintaining a focus on landscape design, I shifted gears into a planning undergraduate degree where I learned more about creating sustainable places for the economy, people and the environment. I buttressed my planning career with internships and related jobs until I graduated in December of 2019.

Since graduation, I began working at the Town of Ashby, MA as their Land Use Agent and at the USFWS National Wildlife Refuge System in Hadley. I'm currently working at The Community Builders where I help manage affordable housing development projects. When I'm not working, I'm working out, taking care of my 2 geckos and 2 axolotls, freshening up my keyboard skills, or adding to and enjoying my record collection.
